Sometimes the Cards Choose Us
When you book a reading with Louise, you’re not simply given the same cards and the same spread that everyone else receives.
Louise has many different tarot and oracle decks, and one of the things that makes her readings particularly personal is the way she chooses which decks to work with.
Every reading is different
Just before a reading begins, Louise takes a moment to connect with the person, their question and the situation they are bringing to the reading. She often knows which deck, or combination of decks, feels relevant for that particular reading.
Sometimes it’s tarot. Sometimes an oracle deck. Sometimes several decks can work together to give the reading different layers and perspectives.
There isn’t one deck that has to be used for everyone, and there isn’t a fixed formula.
Why choose different decks?
Tarot and oracle cards have different structures and ways of expressing ideas. Louise enjoys working with both, and choosing the deck that feels relevant allows the reading to develop around the person rather than forcing every reading into the same pattern.
The choice of deck becomes another part of the conversation between Louise, the cards and the person sitting for the reading.
Your reading is yours
Your questions are unique. Your circumstances are unique. Your experiences are unique.
So why should every reading look exactly the same?
At Mystic Monkey, Louise doesn’t simply reach for one deck because it is the deck she always uses. She takes the time to choose what feels right for the reading in front of her.
That means your reading can have its own character, focus and combination of cards.
Personal, not predetermined
The cards aren’t there to give you a fixed script for your life. They are there to help explore your situation, your questions and the possibilities around you.
That is why the choice of deck matters. It becomes part of creating a reading that is focused on you.
Your question is unique.
Your circumstances are unique.
So your reading should feel unique too.
